‘Talking it Up’  - A true history
Nimbin Aboriginal Cultural Centre will be holding a 2 day event in Nimbin on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th.

This event will explore the ‘true history’ of this country, particularly from the time of colonisation through spoken word, music, dance and other forms of creative expression. The aim of ‘Talking it Up’ is to create a deeper understanding within the wider community of the pathways that Aboriginal people have walked since occupation, not only on a personal level but also within the broader context of politics, law and the environment. We warmly invite you to join us in commemorating and celebrating the resilience, deep wisdom and humour embodied by the diverse local Aboriginal & Torres Strait community living within this beautiful region.

All proceeds of the day will be made as a contribution to the renovation and general upkeep of the Nimbin Aboriginal Cultural Centre. Please help us in supporting this space to becoming fully operational and to claim its place as a significant space within the heart of the Northern Rivers region.
